Auf die Idee zu diesem Thema hat mich Olivia Rodrigo gebracht. Die US-amerikanische Sängerin ist gerade 23 geworden und widmet ihre neue Single einer britischen Band um einen gewissen Robert Smith, der wiederum ihr Großvater sein könnte, er ist seit April 67 Jahre alt. Robert Smith ist Gründer, Stimme und Gesicht von The Cure und genau so heißt die neue Single von Olivia Rodrigo: The Cure. Also eine Hommage von Rodrigo für die Band The Cure, zumal auch der Schriftzug auf dem Cover der Single mit der verschnörkelten Schrift dem Schriftbild der Band „The Cure“ nachempfunden ist. Also, klarer Fall einer Ehrerbeitung der jungen Amerikanerin für den alten Engländer. Oder?
